Our primary mission is to develop, support, and inspire swimmers within the Metro North district. We aim to create a positive and inclusive environment where every swimmer can reach their full potential, both in and out of the water. We believe in the power of collaboration and community to achieve these goals.
The Metro North Committee is responsible for a variety of key initiatives, including:
Organising Junior Swim Meets: A core focus is planning and running exciting and well-structured junior swim meets, providing valuable competition opportunities for our younger swimmers.
Hosting Clinics and Programs: We develop and deliver clinics, workshops, and other programs to enhance skill development, provide educational opportunities, and promote a love for swimming.
Connecting Clubs: We act as a vital link between individual clubs and the broader district, ensuring clear communication and shared goals.
Strategic Planning: We continuously plan for the future of swimming in our region, looking for ways to innovate and improve our offerings.
Support and Resources: We strive to provide support and resources to our clubs, coaches, swimmers, and families.
Our committee is made up of volunteers from various backgrounds within the swimming community, parents, coaches, and club committee members. Each member brings valuable insights and a shared commitment to our mission.
