Junior District Selection Trials

• Entry Deadline: 12 September 2025, by 11:55pm

• Eligibility: Open to registered swimmers with Metro North District affiliated clubs (age 8-10 as of 25 October)

• Entry Fee: $12 per event (plus transaction fee)

Registration:

• Entries accepted only through Swim Central.

• Age will be determined as of 25 October, 2024.

• Only swimmers with a genuine intention to compete in the finals on 26 October should register.

Selection Process:

• The 10 fastest swimmers in each event (not heat) will qualify for the Metro North District team at the Victorian Metro Junior District Competition on 25 October.

Selection Trials:

• Date: 20 September starting at 1:30pm* time TBC

• Location: Ivanhoe Grammar School Sports & Aquatics Centre

• Suit Requirements: SV swimsuit restrictions apply for 11/U swimmers in the finals (25 October).

Competition Details:

• Meet will be conducted under Swimming Australia and Swimming Victoria rules.

• Spectator admission is free.

• Warm-up/cool-down lanes will not be available during the meet.

• Meet program will be downloadable from the Metro North website by prior to the meet.

Finals (25 October):

• All districts are required to provide volunteers.

• Event Nos. 19-24 and 43-48 are relay events. Metro North will select swimmers based on performance and availability.

Team Information:

• Qualifiers will receive team information and Metro North gear (T-shirt and swim cap).

Withdrawal from Finals:

• Swimmers who qualify and then withdraw or are absent without a valid medical reason risk exclusion from future District Competitions.
